Head Coach: Will Breehl Coach Will is starting his first season as the Darton College Aqua Darts Head Coach. Will comes from Barbourville, Kentucky where he was the assistant coach at Union College, from 2008-2010. Will mainly coached the distance group. His swimmers broke 14 school records in distance and backstroke events. Will had three swimmers score at the 2010 NAIA nationals and coached one NAIA All-American.
Before Union, Will was the assistant coach at Triton Swimming, a USA club team in Louisville, KY, during the 2007-08 season. He was in charge of 10-14 years olds. At the 2008 Kentucky State Championships, Will's 11-12 girls finished 2nd, and his 11-12 boy's finished 3rd overall.
Will's first coaching job came in the summer of 2003 as an assistant with Plainview Swim Team, a summer league team in Louisvile, Kentucky. Will took over as head coach in 2006 and coached through the summer of 2010. At Plainview, Will coached a total of 240 athletes ages 4-18 each year. Many of Will's swimmers have gone on to swim in State Championships in Kentucky as well as sectional, junior national, and national championships, as well as Olympic Trials. Will recorded two undefeated regular seasons at Plainview.
Will swam for Triton Swimming in Louisville, before moving on to compete collegiately at the University of Louisville from 2002-05 where he earned 1 letter, and was an Academic All-American.
Will received his bachelors degree in Exercise Science from the University of Louisville and his Masters degree in Physical Education from Union College.
In addition to being the head coach for the Aqua Darts, he will also be the assistant coach for the Darton College Cavaliers collegiate team.
Will says, "This is a dream come true for me to be the head coach of a USA club team! Through my education and coaching experience, I have developed my own philosophy that centers around teaching in multpile ways, positive reinformcement, and fun! I look forward to working with my kids, parents, and assistants to make the Aqua Darts program the best it can be. I am here to help and serve others, and to teach kids life lessons through swimming!"
Assistant Coach: Courtney Reynolds Coach Courtney is originally from Arlington GA and moved to Albany to attend Darton College. She swam for Darton College from 2006-2008. Throughout her two years with Darton she earned 8 All American tittles, which were in the 100 & 200 breast and 200 & 400 freestyle relays in 2007, and 100 & 200 breast, 500 free, and 800 free relay in 2008.
She first started coaching the Albany YMCA swim team in the summer of 2007. Once she had finished swimming for Darton the love for the sport lead her way to coaching the Aqua-Darts. She has been the assistant swim coach since May 2008.
Courtney says, “I love my job and I have learned so much over the years. I have watched our team grow from just a handful to four times that amount. I am very proud of what the Aqua-Darts swim team has become, and I am very excited to see what they bring as a whole for the team and what they will accomplish in the future.”
In addition to coaching, Courtney has been lifeguarding for six years now. “I love watching over the lives of others. It is a passion of mine and will continue to be throughout the years” Courtney says.
Courtney is married to Charles Reynolds. They have one daughter named Libbie and reside in Leesburg.
Assistant Coach: Kali Eigenberg Coach Kali started coaching with the Aqua Darts in May of 2010. Coaching is rewarding to Kali because she is able to pass on her knowledge and experiences to the young swimmers.
“Being a coach is also a learning experience,” says Kali. “with the kids doing the teaching a lot of the time!”
Kali is a graduate from Lee County High School in Georgia. She qualified for the Georgia State Swimming Meet her freshman, sophomore, junior and senior year. During her senior year she obtained the Team Captain position. Her senior year at Region she placed first in the 200 IM, 200 Medley Relay, 200 Free Relay, and the 400 Free Relay. She is currently swimming for Darton College.
Assistant Coach: Peter E Soerensen Coach Peter is originally form Denmark, and moved to Albany to attend Darton College were he has been on the swim team since 2009. He finished high school in 2008, and worked 1 year as a substitute teacher and club swim coach.
In high school, Peter was on the Danish youths national team. In his junior year he placed 3rd in the 50 and 100 breaststroke, and 2nd in the 400 and 800 free relay at the Danish Junior National Championships. He also held the Danish Junior Record in the 200 free relay. In his senior year Peter placed 3rd in the 200 and 400 free relay a the Danish Championships. He is currently team captain for the Darton College Swim Team.
